Rule 34: Universe of Desire

I was commissioned by the Museum of Sex in NYC to create 6 video installations for their show "Universe of Desire". Although I am proud of all the pieces, this one in particular was special. I created an interactive video game (complete with custom game controller!) based on "rule 34". The software, written in Processing and Java, allows the player to create collages and animations based on a database of animated gifs portraying unusual sexual partners. There are a range of controls, and every action is accompanied by sound effects.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to properly document the work yet. Until then, here are a few moments captured on my iPhone, mostly from the opening party:
